Emmaus Suffolk needs kitchen equipment, office dividers, laptops, and mobile phones

The Charity:

One of 29 such communities across the UK, Emmaus Suffolk provides frontline services to those facing the prospect of homelessness, while also supporting those experiencing loneliness, social exclusion, and unemployment.

Emmaus Suffolk believes in empowering the poorest in the community to build dignity and self-respect, and supports individuals across the county in doing so.

The Project:

Emmaus Suffolk offers hot, subsidised, and freshly cooked meals through its community café, provides free-to-access, safe, and friendly spaces in its Wellbeing Hubs across Ipswich and Felixstowe, and houses vulnerable people in supported housing accommodation.

The Ask:

  • Chest freezer or any working kitchen equipment (such as knives, pans, mixers, fridges, chilled display cabinets) for the community café.

  • Floor-standing office dividers for the Wellbeing Hubs, to increase privacy, the warmth of the spaces, and act as an easy divider for the different activities offered.

  • Laptops and mobile phone handsets for the charity’s service users, as well as the volunteers supporting these vulnerable individuals.
