A Good Thing

How it works

It's very simple! (Think Airbnb or eBay)

  1. Business creates an offer
  2. Offer sent to local charities
  3. Charities submit requests
  4. Business selects a charity
  5. Details exchanged
  6. Charity picks up items (in most cases)

The same match seen from both sides. Read down whichever column applies to you.

If you're a business

  1. 1
Sign up and list the items you no longer need.
  2. 2
Your offer goes live to charities in your area, who can request it.
  3. 3
You choose which charity receives it, and we put you in touch.
  4. 4
The charity normally collects. It couldn't be simpler!

If you're a charity

  1. 1
Sign up to be notified about items on offer near you, or browse the live offers.
  2. 2
See something you need? Make a request with a short note about why.
  3. 3
If the business picks your charity, we put you in touch.
  4. 4
You arrange collection at a time that suits you both.
