Premier Print & Promotions: protecting people and the planet
Introducing Premier P&P
Premier Print & Promotions (Premier P&P) is a British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA)-member dedicated to sustainability. As an annual paying subscriber to A Good Thing, the firm has donated plenty over the years. Our blog dives into its generous donation back in 2024 here.
Premier P&P has been carbon-neutral since 2021 and became a certified B-Corp company in 2023. On the company blog, Managing Director Ryan discussed his reasons for striving for sustainability:
“We do care about our people, we do care about our supply chain, we do care about our community, and we do care about the environment. From a personal perspective, as a father to an 11-year-old, I do feel a responsibility to protect the planet for future generations.”
Companies achieve B Corp status by meeting high standards for social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. Premier P&P incorporates sustainability into all its practices – from everyday operations to big decisions. To put it simply, they ‘Look Good, Do Good’.
“We found A Good Thing a while back while looking for ways to be more sustainable and reduce waste, because, let’s be honest, no one likes seeing perfectly good stuff go to waste! The idea of connecting businesses with charities to give unused items a new home really clicked with us. It’s such a simple but powerful way to make a difference. Joining was a no-brainer for us. At Premier, we believe in making good products for good people – and if we can do a bit of good for our people, our supply chain, our community and the planet along the way, why wouldn’t we?”
Jack Coulson, Premier P&P’s Apprentice Sustainability & Administration Coordinator and A Good Thing super-user
Connecting with charities through A Good Thing is a straightforward process! Just upload your items and wait for the charity requests to come in. Jack recommends our platform to businesses as an easy way to improve their sustainability:
“The process of picking the charities was surprisingly easy: we simply listed the items we had to offer, and before you knew it they were going to someone better – someone who needed them more than we ever did. It’s amazing how quickly and effortlessly we were able to turn our surplus into something valuable for those who truly need it. The whole process was seamless, and it felt great knowing that what might have been wasted is now making a real difference! … Now, we’re always on the lookout for the next thing we can give back. Though we do have to draw the line at the office coffee machine. Some things are just too precious!”
From storage to shop floor
Back in December, Premier P&P donated a whopping 200 scribble pads, 115 branded mousemats, 30 navy branded tote bags, five branded baseball caps, 19 brand-new laptop backpacks, 15 wooden salad spoons in cotton sleeves and 180 grey laptop sleeves.
The YMCA requested this bulk donation for resale in its charity shops. The YMCA supports 708 communities across England and Wales. That includes 402,501 young people and counting. With 84 local centres, the YMCA provides ‘critical foundations for a fresh, strong start for young people and a better quality of life in the community’.
The charity offers advice for young people and communities on a variety of topics, including health and wellbeing, housing, training and education, and family matters. The YMCA also offers fantastic services such as a RoomSponsor for young people. Its expansive services are described as a ‘full package of support’.

Care and crafts
The Mistley Kids Club is an after-school and holiday club for children and teenagers. A registered charity with 595 children, some of whom have Special Educational Needs, it is always on the lookout for stationery to support its arts and crafts sessions.
Manager Claire Moss told us that stationery is vital for the club’s many activities. She was very pleased with Premier P&P’s donation of 60 pens, 270 blue notebooks, and 100 brand new blue water bottles to her charity.
After coming across A Good Thing online, Claire has recommended our platform to plenty of similar organisations:
“It has been absolutely fantastic. The products we have received have saved us a fortune in buying stationery and more. The notebooks have been a great source of activity for our kids. Being a charity, we have to be really careful on how much we spend on arts and crafts, so this has been brilliant.”
Women of Grace UK is a long-term supporter of A Good Thing and well-acquainted with the platform. Founder Valerie Lolomari, a survivor of female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C), is an advocate for women across the UK who may have experienced FGM/C, providing support and reducing stigma and isolation around the experience.
Valerie Lolomari founded Women of Grace UK to provide grassroots services, including mental health awareness, support and wellbeing services. The charity also hosts events such as foodfests, workshops, and talks.
Valerie told us:
"At Women of Grace UK, we will use the items to support women recovering from trauma and gender-based violence. The items will be integrated into our workshops and support programmes: stationery for skills training sessions, and clothing or blankets to aid in creating a safe and nurturing environment."

As Jack from Premier P&P states:
“If companies have what they may feel like is ‘tat’ lying around the office, I strongly recommend signing up to A Good Thing right away and give it to those who need it most: not only does it reduce your waste but also gives your unused items a second life, making a real difference to charities and communities in need.
