West Sussex’s Fishbourne Playing Field Association needs kitchen equipment, benches, and plants for a sensory play area

The Charity:

Existing solely to benefit the local community, the Fishbourne Playing Field Association owns 17 acres of land in the West Sussex village - including a community centre, a tennis, bowling and croquet club, and a children’s playground.

The Project:

The Fishbourne Playing Field Association has a kitchen within its community centre, which is currently unable to offer food due to the lack of equipment. The association would love to be able to offer the local community a cost-effective choice to eat out, alongside providing catering to those who rent out its halls for weddings, parties, and corporate functions.

Additionally, the Fishbourne Playing Field Association is looking for plants that can provide an experience for children in the sensory area of its playground.

The Ask:

  • Kitchen equipment – including an oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, food vacuum sealer, and water bath

  • Benches

  • Plants – anything fragrant and textural, such as various grasses and thornless rose bushes, as well as rounded boulders for climbing and balancing
