An interview with Roseanna, a fantastic community eco champion

A Good Thing has an amazing network of volunteers who spread the word about our work by using their communication and digital marketing skills to engage charities and businesses. This month we catch up with Roseanna to hear about her successes which includes signing up a Tiggywinkles, the world’s leading wildlife hospital!

Tell us a little bit about yourself:

Hello, Roseanna here, I love nature, meeting new people and am passionate about making it easy for everyone to reduce waste. I have a background in geology, environmental consultancy and business development across the UK and Australia.

Why did you choose to volunteer with A Good Thing?

Reuse should be simple and with A Good Thing it is! An accessible platform to help businesses tackle excess whilst supporting charities jumped out as an impactful cause I’d love to drive engagement with. The opportunity to contribute flexibly around my new role as a mum is a perfect fit too.

What’s your role as part of the volunteering programme?

Connecting with businesses and charities to share how A Good Thing can help their social, environmental and cost-reduction goals!

What do you hope to learn from your volunteering experience?

The creative ways businesses tackle reuse challenges, how best to support this at scale and to keep improving my relationship-building skills.

Tell us about a success you’ve had in the role so far:

Contacting my childhood favourite animal charity and hearing that they had signed up was a sweet moment!

Thank you Rosanna for being an amazing volunteer!
