Powerful connections and impact in Cardiff
For over 30 years, D&G Office Interiors in Cardiff has specialised in the design, delivery and installation of ergonomic office furniture – alongside office refurbishment solutions. The firm is one of A Good Thing’s annual subscribers and as such is able to make unlimited offers via the platform.
Recently, a number of chairs were no longer needed following an office refurbishment. The chairs were offered for collection via the A Good Thing platform and quickly found a new home at the Cardiff superstore of UK charity Cancer Research. One of the most recognised charities in the UK, it provides advice, services and support to those living with cancer as well as funding research into life-saving treatments.
James Marchant, Superstore Stock Driver, made the arrangements to collect the chairs using the company van, to be sold in the store less than 5 miles down the road. James told us “it was a quick and easy process, as we’ve had a couple of donations from D&G in the past.”
D&G told us:
“By donating these items to local charities and community groups, we not only reduce waste but also contribute to positive social impact, helping those in need”.
Sustainability is built into D&G’s mission, which states “we believe in creating workspaces that prioritise the health of our planet … we strive to minimise our ecological footprint and create spaces that inspire creativity and productivity”. The result: a business able to meet its environmental and social responsibilities, while helping to boost the income of a charity doing important work in the local community. A true win–win!
