Volunteer spotlight! Goldie Marfo

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Hi, my name is Goldie and I am currently an Ancient History undergrad heading into my final year. In my spare time, I love to dance and run, and I am happy that I am learning more about sustainability in my role.

What’s your role as part of the volunteering programme?

As a copywriter, I write for the 'Impact' page that highlights the influence that donations have on charities, as well as the relationships that are built between businesses and charities. I find out more about the process of matching, through to receiving these products: this develops my knowledge surrounding the usage of the app.

Why did you choose to volunteer with A Good Thing?

I chose to volunteer with A Good Thing because of the attractiveness of the platform and its easy concept, whilst also knowing my contribution will make a huge difference to many lives.

What do you hope to learn from your volunteering experience?

Whilst I continue to write, I hope to better the quality of my writing in order to share these stories with many people, as well as learning and absorbing more from my A Good Thing peers.

Tell us about a success you’ve had in the role so far.

I think one success is seeing my first article being published, not only that but being able to truly see how much of a difference this platform has made only a few months into my role.
